Winter Concert for Habitat

Thanks to everyone including the talented local musicians that made the winter concert benefit Habitat for Humanity at Zion Lutheran Church such a big success! We raised over $1,500 to support home repair projects in Carlton County.

This marks the 15th year Zion Lutheran has hosted a concert for Habitat. Music styles will include jazz, classical, brass, wind, piano, choral, pipe organ and a few hymns to engage the crowd. Performers range from area professionals to talented amateurs, all creating a wonderful afternoon of song and spirit.

There will be fresh-baked apple pie served afterwards, featuring apples from Zion's own organic orchard. A free-will offering will be taken on behalf of Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity.

Funds raised will be used to remodel and repair homes across the region in 2012.  Visitors are encouraged to take this opportunity to learn more about Habitat’s mission that connects neighbors who care with neighbors who could use a “hand up” meeting their housing needs.

Western Lake Superior Habitat relies solely on local donations to support its mission. If you are interested in lending a hand, making a donation, or want to know more about Habitat for Humanity please contact us at 218-722-3875 or visit our website at www.twinportshabitat.org
