Getting ready to move the house donated by Super One from it's current spot on the east side of Superior to it's new location at 2122 Ogden.

Groundblessing is Good News for a family in Superior!

Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity (Habitat), Super One Foods, and the City of Superior have joined forces—and the community is invited to join in on the fun!  There will be a brief ceremony held on Thursday, Dec. 15th from 12:15 pm to 12:45 at the construction site on 2122 Ogden Avenue in Superior.  Refreshments will be served.

Honor a Veteran Home Repair Contest

Welcome to our Honor a Veteran Home Repair Contest. Midwest Communications is challenging three of their morning show hosts to raise the funds needed to build and install an access ramp at the home of a veteran here in the northland. The contest runs through Veteran's Day (Friday, Nov. 11). The winners will be joining volunteers from the Army National Guard to build ramp sections at TW Wood Design in Superior. The "losers" will be cleaning cages at Lake Superior Zoo. The finished ramp sections will be installed at the home of a Veteran the following day.

Temple Israel Celebrates Safe Shelter with Habitat for Humanity

Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity and Temple Israel are teaming up to help a homeowner in Lakeside age-in-place with grace and dignity.  Marjorie has lived in the Lakeside neighborhood of Duluth for 42 years.  Although disabled and on a fixed income, with a few repairs to her roof, front steps, and exterior she would be able to live comfortably for years to come.  

Habitat Completes 500,000 Home Worldwide

Habitat for Humanity recently celebrated the completion of the 500,000 home worldwide.
